Marvellous setting, just off a traditional pub in the middle of a spectacular nowhere with great food, mountains and Abergarvenny and Brecon. Excellent and attentive staff on reception and elsewhere. A lot of fab food at breakfast time.

The location in the heart of the city was amazing, and the staff were friendly and exceptional, the twin room I requested was fantastic.

The rooms are clean, the bar has a traditional feel, and everyone is friendly, including the excellent owner.

The highlight, however, was the fantastic freshly cooked breakfast, with options for everyone's tastes, including a great selection for vegans like myself. I also loved that the inn provided packed lunches for hikers. a homely setting with good food, good beer, and a dog-friendly atmosphere. I can't wait to return!

The highlight of our stay was the unexpected adventure we had while exploring the beautiful garden and terrace. It felt like stepping into a magical forest, with hidden corners and whimsical details that made us feel like characters in a fairytale. We spent hours wandering, discovering new surprises at every turn, and it truly added a touch of enchantment to our stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect, nestled at the foot of a breathtaking mountain range, providing easy access to beautiful hikes. the hotel was clean and had excellent facilities, and the parking was convenient. The pub had a great atmosphere and served fantastic beers, complemented by hearty and delicious pub food. The breakfast was a highlight - a huge spread that fueled us for the day ahead.
